Sagenite, also known as rutile quartz, used to be referred to as ‘venus hair stone’ or ‘flèches d’amour’. In this transparent rock crystal fine reddish-brown or black rutile needles are included, which form interesting net structures. Rutile is a mineral with high amounts of titanium and therefore of economic importance.
Occurrence: Madagascar, Brazil, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Germany, Switzerland.
Effect: Sagenite energises the body with energy, helps with oppressions in the chest area, with colds, asthma and chronic bronchitis as well as cardiac pain and cardiac arrhythmia, stimulates cell regeneration, skin and hair growth.
On the emotional side, it has a calming, mood-enhancing effect, releases repressed fears, excessive excitement and inner tension, gives life force and self-confidence, stimulates positive visions, new ideas, life concepts, creativity and the pursuit of spiritual freedom and independence.
Name
‘Animo’ from Esperanto translates into soul. In yoga, it corresponds to the immutable self, which, in contrast to the mind, the emotions and feelings, the body and ego, does not change. The soul is the Atman, pure consciousness, the inner source that is part of the absolute Brahman.
